Jocelyn Kope earned her BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy in 2009 and has been helping people in the UAE from 2015. She practices a patient-centred approach and looks beyond the symptoms to find and address their underlying causes. Jocelyn has focussed on becoming proficient in treatment techniques that support her approach, and will address old problems from a new perspective.
Jocelyn first studied scar treatment in South Africa in 2013 and has been upskilling ever since. Due to her skills and experience in this area, she regularly presents at local and international conferences on various aspects of scar physiotherapy. Jocelyn’s unique approach to scars has led her to study further in related fields including women’s health, oncology and visceral manipulation. She is a certified PINC cancer rehab physiotherapist and course contributor, and was invited to speak at the World Physiotherapy Congress in 2023 about her work in this area.
For abdominal and pelvic organ treatment, Jocelyn is trained in Barral Visceral Manipulation to use hands-on techniques to resolve problems such as digestive dysfunction and persistent pain that hasn’t responded to regular physiotherapy.
Jocelyn is a trusted local collaborator for surgeons, oncologists, and other physiotherapists, and since 2024 has been teaching scar treatment techniques internationally.
